This is a life sized Flying Fox, which is already sold, and is fully articulated with wires as his skeleton, paper clay skull covered with silk velvet and wings made of silk taffeta, responsibly sheared lincoln lamb locks ruff, lightly stuffed with nice sharp claws. His eyes are hand-blown glass eyes (20mm) He can fold his wings around his body and hang upside down like a live bat would, but I chose not to do that with this photo shoot because his purchaser wanted hanging rings put just behind his thumb claws so he could suspend him from the ceiling in a flying pose and they would have been too distracting shown folded. I will be making more, similar. But each one will still have its own personality since they are hand made. They take about 20 hours of concentrated time to make.
