I am giving this doll away to one person on April 11 who must make a comment below to be entered into the random drawing
Why am I giving her away? Because I remember the scene in Pollyanna where the lady put the doll on the hook for Pollyanna. Plus I have been given a very great opportunity to show my dolls as the Special Exhibit at http://empirequiltfest.org Spread the word, you do NOT have to be at the exhibit to be a winner. Just make a comment below where you heard about this special give a way--and how badly you want her! (Grins) Thank you! and good luck!!!

DeleteAnother great job, Dallas! Congratulations on the honor of being chosen to present at the Empire Quilt Fest!! Your talent deserves to be showcased in such a lovely manner!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Pam, and Good Luck! Hope to see you there.
DeleteHave enjoyed your dolls for several years now. To win one would be awesome. Congratulations on Empire Quilt Fest!
ReplyDeleteYou have been a faithful follower, Ruthanne!!! Good luck!!!
DeleteWhat a remarkable example of your craft and skill! I am not at all surprised to see that there is world wide interest in winning your doll. She has an impish, puckish air about her, and I know a lady in the Netherlands who would delight in having her for her very own.
ReplyDeleteOkay, "Anonymous", I know who you are and if You win, I know how to get in touch!!! Good Luck!
DeleteI have followed Dal's work for several years. Each time she creates a new doll, a new piece of her is revealed. She puts so much if herself into each doll. Those that know her, find those little nuggets.
ReplyDeleteThe next doll she is working on will be my all time favorite. I have been lucky enough to see some glimpses along the way.
Create on Dal.
Smooches
Dave
Aw Dave. You're sweet! Good Luck!
DeleteDallas, she is beautiful! Totally innocent... comfortable in her own skin.... observing her world... but ready to pounce on anything fun that will come her way. (I have a daughter like that). I feel like I know her, but she's probably telling others a completely different story! She's a doll (just like my daughter)! Jeannie Irvine
ReplyDeleteAW! that's such a wonderful description of what I was aiming for in her creation, Jeannie!!! Thank you so much! and Good Luck!
DeleteThis would be the daughter I never had. I would enjoy looking at her big eyes and expressive mouth. Is she big enough for a hug? Maybe I will get to the empire quilt show-its only 1/2 hour away.
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous commentator, I am not sure who you are. Please amend this comment to include your name so that if you win I may contact you.,

DeleteDallas....what a cutie your doll is; and Pollyanna was one of my favorites to watch, but I always wanted to climb out my bedroom window into a tree but my tree at that time was too small. And your exibit at the EQF was breath-taking and am sure everyone there enjoyed your doll exhibt and especially chatting with you! Stephanie
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Stephanie! Good luck!! see you soon.
DeleteDallas, it was great meeting you and talking with you. I told the ladies in charge of the quilt show that your dolls were the best. ( This is my 2nd attempt to leave a message) I am Judy that wore a blue sweater Saturday at the quilt show.
ReplyDeleteI hope you offer a doll class and please put my name in to win the give away doll.

DeleteThis is Brandi :) your doll is adorable, Dallas. I love how she evokes "Where the wild things are" in her charming outfit and glorious ears. So impressive, darling Dallas
ReplyDeleteBrandi! You are the second person to see I must have been channeling where the wild things are! I hope the author and illustrator don't come after me for trademark infringement because I SWEAR she made herself!!! *laughs* I will be using her as the prototype to launch a line of anthropomorphic creations ... including the first one "Dandylion" more flower than lion. Love & Good Luck!
DeleteShe's a beautiful little girl!! Her face spells sweet and kindness. Above and beyond that, she is made by YOU, and that alone is special enough. I would treasure her for always!!
